Half-glazed double doors lead out to the rear garden, and a carpeted staircase leads to an upper floor double bedroom, Bedroom 6, which was formerly the maid's room. A perfect retreat for a home office or private bedroom for a teenager or family.
From the downstairs hallway a wide, curved, staircase leads to the upper floor. With wooden balustrades and a high ceiling, this marvellous staircase has a substantial rectangular skylight allowing natural light to flood in.
Upper floor
The upper landing provides access to all accommodation, with two substantial double bedrooms to the front of the house, with marvellous open views, two double bedrooms to the rear with views over the garden, and a further bedroom to the side overlooking Nelson Road. The bedrooms all have large, sash-and-case wooden windows. The family bathroom contains a three-piece white suite comprising WC, shower and basin inset to a bathroom cabinet unit. From the upper landing, a wooden ladder provides access to the immense attic space, which is floored and has windows allowing ample natural light. There may be potential to extend into the attic space, subject to appropriate consents being obtained but, regardless, is an incredible storage or additional working space.
Garden and outbuildings.
The accommodation extends outdoors to extensive enclosed gardens at the front, side, and rear of the property. These beautifully maintained green spaces provide a private sanctuary to enjoy the outdoors, from leisurely afternoons in the sun to active play for children and pets. The generous garden areas also offer exciting potential for landscaping enthusiasts or those who enjoy gardening as a hobby. Alexandra Terrace, a cul-de-sac safely accessed through a rear gate, provides an ideal area for parking of for a child learning to ride a bike. A stone-built garage provides superb storage space and a double block-built garage offers off-road parking.
