"We love that the dining room is big enough to host all of our friends for dinner or coffee mornings before Park Run in Eastville. The community on York Road is amazing, and whether you need a dog walker recommendation or a pinch of paprika for dinner, the street has you covered. We regularly get together as a community either on the street, or at the Greenbank which is our local - there’s also plenty of people who can take in that amazon delivery for you! The garden is south facing and captures the sun all day during the summer, and allows sun to enter the back of the house for most of the day, lighting up the dining room and the back bedroom. With plenty of cafes and parks to walk the dog Greenbank has you covered!"
The Home
A bright and beautifully balanced period terrace in the heart of BS5, offered to the market chain free and rich in character. From the moment you step inside, high ceilings and original wooden floorboards set a warm and inviting tone. Generous windows at both the front and rear draw in an abundance of natural light, enhancing the sense of space and flow throughout the ground floor. The living and dining areas feel connected yet defined ideal for relaxed evenings, quiet Sunday mornings or entertaining friends around the table. To the rear, the kitchen and dining space enjoy a wonderful relationship with the garden beyond. The south-facing aspect allows sunshine to pour in, creating a calm, leafy outlook and a seamless transition between inside and out during the warmer months. Upstairs, the proportions continue to impress. A large principal bedroom spans the front of the house, bright and airy with ample space for additional storage. To the rear, a generously sized second bedroom overlooks the garden, offering a peaceful retreat. A well-ventilated family bathroom completes the first floor, alongside useful built-in storage that enhances the home’s practicality. Above, a substantial loft space provides exciting potential for conversion into an additional bedroom or workspace, subject to the necessary planning permissions offering scope to grow with the home over time.
Outside
The south-facing garden is a true highlight. Bathed in sunlight for much of the day, it provides a private and tranquil setting with plenty of room for planting, dining and relaxing. Whether it’s morning coffee in the sunshine or summer evenings with friends, the garden meaningfully extends the living space and adds to the home’s overall sense of light and balance. Light-filled, well-proportioned and positioned in one of BS5’s most vibrant pockets, this is a charming period home ready for its next chapter.
