6 The Heath is situated in the picturesque village of Appledore, a small and pretty village situated between Tenterden and New Romney. The village has great local amenities including a thriving village store, popular pub and tea rooms. Nearby are the historic towns of Tenterden and Rye, each with a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs and the bustling market town of Ashford provides further retail opportunities. There is also a wide selection of school in the area.
Train services to London can be accessed from Headcorn to the north of the town, or Ashford to the east, where the high-speed service runs trains to London Stratford and St Pancras International stations in 37 minutes, and there is also a railway station just outside Appledore on the Ashford–Brighton line. The M20 can be accessed at either Leeds Castle or Ashford.
