GARDEN AND OUTBUILDINGS
The gardens are a particular highlight of The Stables, arranged as a secluded and gently evolving woodland-style landscape. Meandering paths lead through mature planting to areas of lawn bordered by shrubs and stone walls. In spring, the garden comes alive with snowdrops, anemones, hellebores, periwinkle and flowing bulbs set among ferns, holly, sweet box and herbaceous geraniums. Mature trees provide dappled shade while preserving a sunny, south-facing aspect. Adjacent to the house is a delightful circular terrace, ideally positioned for outdoor dining and entertaining during the warmer months.
Set above the garage and approached via a winding garden path is the studio, clad in cedar beneath a clay tiled roof. Glazed French doors open into a generous and light-filled workspace with Velux windows, a separate cloakroom and access to a small terrace, creating an idyllic setting for home working, creative pursuits or ancillary accommodation. To the front of the property, driveway parking for two to three vehicles leads to the double garage with up-and-over doors, electricity, shelving, workbench and a range of units. Usefully, there is an additional parking space at the front of the house.
