'Lacock being a National Trust village means it’s beautifully maintained and offers everything you need, from great pubs and a village shop to a chocolate shop and play parks.’
Inside, the cottage is arranged over two floors. On the ground floor, the sitting room – a favourite space – sits alongside the kitchen/diner, which leads through to a shower room. ‘It’s cosy in winter with its log burner and oak beams, and wonderfully light in summer thanks to its sunny aspect. The thick walls keep it cool even on the hottest days.’ Upstairs, two bedrooms enjoy lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
The large garden offers a series of tranquil spaces: a sun-soaked terrace for morning coffee, a sheltered lower patio for evening dining, and a lawned area with apple trees, a haven for wildlife and play alike. ‘It’s been a magical place to live,’ the owners say.
