Situated some 11 miles north of the A170 Thirsk to Scarborough road Rosedale Abbey has a small primary school, glass studio, village stores and a couple of pubs. The nearby market towns of Pickering and Kirkbymoorside offer a good choice of shops, schools and other local amenities.
