"We have loved our five years here, and wouldn`t be leaving if we didn`t simply need more space for our ever-growing family. We have always considered ourselves custodians rather than owners, given the long history of the property and the many families throughout history that will have lived here. We`ve modernised entirely during our tenure, including a full overhaul of the electrics, draining and heating, and new windows throughout. We`ve updated the kitchen and bathrooms, adding an extra shower room, and bringing the fireplace back to life with a log burner. We love spending winter evenings in the Sitting Room with a fire burning, and with much of family life happening in the kitchen, our priority was the major works in the kitchen which allows for inside / outside living, and so much more light.
Stewkley was our village of choice due to its incredible community, centred around the primary school, pubs, and village rec. We`ve made life long friends here and we`re hoping not to move very far as a result! Having a school, two pubs and the playing fields all on the door step, plus Leighton Buzzard, MK and Aylesbury all a short drive away means we feel we have the best of both worlds: access to everything we need alongside idyllic countryside."
