The location
The house is less than a two-minute walk to the nursery, primary school and shopping precinct, which has everything you could need — shops, restaurants and even a library, which our baby has loved visiting since she was tiny. We’re also just around the corner from the local firework display on bonfire night, and in the summer a fair comes to Madison Park on Lingford (the next road over), which is less than a minute away. The recently renovated leisure centre is also close by and has everything from fitness classes to a fantastic swimming pool.
South-westerly facing rear garden
The garden is a real sun trap in the summer, catching the light from midday right through to sunset. We’ve placed our outdoor furniture by the patio doors to make the most of the view — sunny days and evenings out there are stunning.
Off-street parking & side access
Having off-street parking and access down the side of the property was essential for us. We both rode motorbikes for over ten years, and having the space to store and work on them at home made the hobby so enjoyable. In later years, that same space became somewhere our daughter could race around in her cosy coupe — memories we’ll cherish forever.
Nature walks nearby
With two dogs, we’ve loved being able to walk to Cotgrave Country Park and Cotgrave Woods, both within easy walking distance and particularly beautiful in the spring and summer.
P.S. From Mr Owner — the house also benefits from air conditioning in the living room and main bedroom, providing heating, cooling and dehumidifying, which makes a huge difference all year round.
