A Grade II listed 1920s village reed thatched house in a 17th-century style 0.29-acre plot with lawned gardens, a swimming pool, outbuildings, a garage and off street parking in a conservation area. Situated in a conservation area in a small Buckinghamshire village, the property appears to be a 17th-century, timber framed merchant’s house with brick infill beneath a hipped thatched roof. It was in fact designed by an Edwardian architect who used his architectural expertise to reconfigure a house from three derelict 17th-century cottages. The result is a house that has the robust practicality of a family home from the early 20th-century, with decorative features from three centuries earlier.
