Property Details
Why the owner loves the property:
We will miss the quaintness of the cottage, taking refuge by the fire after visiting the allotment on a cold autumn day, or back from a walk on the many breathtaking footpaths linking Bourton on the Hill to other Cotswold jewels (Blockley, Sezincote, Longborough to list only a few), and celebrating a traditional Christmas in the living room. Turnpike Cottage still has many of its original features. It was a wonderful home for us as a young family of 3. The community have been amazing and have very much become our adoptive family. We got married during the last lockdown, and while family from abroad were not able to travel, we had an amazing outdoor party with neighbours.
We have spent a lot of time in the garden, which benefits from a perfect sun exposition and also some welcome shade from the apple tree, providing us enough space to grow some kitchen herbs and some ornamental plants too.
We will miss the views from the main bedroom: the sheep grazing in the distance on the Sezincote Estate...
