The main draw for us when we moved here was the access to London whilst being surrounded by the Essex countryside. The easy walk to the train station from our house makes the journey so easy. The train line is reliable and fast.
Our house was built to sympathetically fit the design of the many historic homes on the High Street so we feel we have the best of both words - a pretty home with none of the trade offs that often come with an older property. The super fast and reliable broadband to the property enables working from home when required.
The house is cool in summer and so cosy in the winter months. (I absolutely love the underfloor heating.)
We hope the next owners are as happy here as we have been.
LOCATION The picturesque village of Kelvedon offers a peaceful lifestyle with excellent amenities and transport links.
The High Street features independent shops, cafés, a Co-op, post office, pharmacy, and welcoming pubs like The Angel, The Sun and the Riverside. Scenic walks along the River Blackwater and nearby attractions such as Cressing Temple Barns add to the village's charm.
