Location
Llanuwchllyn is situated in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, on the south shore of Bala Lake at the foot of Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy mountains. The village boasts The Eagles, an excellent pub and village shop, a real asset and community owned. Llanuwchllyn has a good football team and a superb choir, there are many events held at the village hall. The narrow gauge steam railway runs from the village station alongside the lake, with an extension currently being built into Bala town.

The village is served by the T3 bus route, taking you to Dolgellau and Barmouth in the south, and Llangollen and Wrexham to the north. All major supermarkets deliver to Llanuwchllyn and there is also a Co-op and Spar in Bala together with a good range of restaurants, shops and a leisure centre with swimming pool. Bala has an excellent medical centre and vets, there is a sailing club and a well attended parkrun.
