Nearby Romney Marsh countryside provides a haven for wildlife, ornithology, and peaceful cycling routes. From New Romney there is a straightforward road route via the A259 and A2070 to the major town of Ashford with its mainline station providing high speed trains to London St. Pancras in 38 minutes.
