Why buy this home?

The location has everything that you require on your doorstep, making it ideal for someone who wants convenience. Leighton Buzzard High Street with its choice of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafés can be reached by foot in under five minutes. You can also walk to Leighton Buzzard train station in around ten minutes which makes it a great place to live if you commute regularly. Whether you are starting off on the property ladder or on the way back down, this property appeals to all, and it is available with no upper chain.

This rarely available design of apartment is situated on the first floor and upon entering it, you are welcomed by a spacious entrance hall - an immediate clue to the overall size of this home. Often an issue with apartments can be that they lack storage, but this is certainly not an issue with this one as there are three spacious cupboards for coats, shoes and those items that are not in everyday use.

The L-shaped living/dining room is vast and is a key selling feature of this home, setting it apart from similar apartments. It offers plenty of space to arrange your furniture to perfectly suit your lifestyle, whether you prefer a cosy corner sofa or a classic three-piece suite. Two windows let natural light in, creating a bright and inviting space while providing ventilation and a cool breeze during the warmer months.

The dedicated dining area is perfect for enjoying meals together without the need to eat in front of the TV. Spacious enough to accommodate a large dining table, this versatile area can also double as a study or work-from-home space, allowing you to tailor it to your needs with ease.

Although not fully open plan, the kitchen’s open layout means that the chef doesn’t have to be isolated when preparing meals – especially if hosting a gathering. Refitted by the current owner, the kitchen has been designed to maximise storage and efficiency. It has ample wall and base units, generous work surfaces, and integrated appliances, including a fitted electric oven and a gas hob with an extractor hood. There’s also dedicated space for a washing machine and a fridge freezer.

Continuing the theme from the rest of the home, the main bedroom is incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for a super king-size bed and all the furniture you require. It is serviced by an en-suite bathroom which has storage for any cosmetic products, a fitted shower cubicle, a w/c and a wash hand basin.

The second bedroom takes a double bed and would make a lovely guest room for when friends and family come to stay. However, if you need a dedicated working area away from the rest of the home, this room provides the perfect setting, with ample room for a workspace and a pull-out day bed when needed.

The main bathroom is fitted with a bath, a toilet and a wash hand basin which has vanity storage.

Agents Note - The photos of this property have been virtually furnished.

More about the location...

Leighton Buzzard is a market town in Bedfordshire, near the Chiltern Hills and lying between Aylesbury, Tring, Dunstable and Milton Keynes.

The area has become an increasingly popular place to relocate to for workers from London, helped in part by its reasonably priced housing – a big attraction for young professional couples wanting to get their foot on the property ladder. Leighton Buzzard provides great access to the countryside and other parts of the UK like London, Birmingham, Cambridge and Oxford.

Leighton Buzzard is close to the M1 motorway and A5 road, and is served by Southern and London Northwestern Railway services on the West Coast Main Line railway at Leighton Buzzard railway station in Linslade. The railway operates non-stop commuting services to Euston railway station, with the fastest peak journey times less than 30 minutes.

Leighton Buzzard operates a three-tier education system with a selection of with Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.

The River Ouzel runs through the town as does the famous Grand Union Canal, which Leighton Buzzard is well known for. There is a lot of activity along the canal which residents can enjoy, from peaceful walks to fishing and waterside pubs.

There are many community events scheduled throughout the year including both the Food and Canal Festivals in the summer, Linslade in Bloom, Music in the Park and the Christmas Market.

A short drive from Leighton Buzzard is Ascott House which is set in a 3,200-acre estate and benefits extensive manicured gardens which you are free to enjoy. There is also Rushmere Country Park on the outskirts of the town which is an area of 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows for you to explore. This is a Greensands Trust site with a visitor centre and café.

In 1963 the Great Train Robbery took place at a site near Bridego Bridge, between the villages of Cheddington and Linslade. Every time a Great Train Robber was caught law dictated that they had to be brought back to the small court house at Linslade to be charged.
