The BATHROOM has a bath, wash basin and W.C., a great place to relax after a day walking the Dorset countryside.
From the landing, a cottage style staircase leads up to the large BEDROOM on the top floor, perfect for family or guests. This room offers superb views over the countryside beyond - also a fabulous place to set up a telescope to watch the night sky above Corfe Castle.
Outside
Stepping outside you will find a beautiful, large, mature country garden at the rear of the property. The patio area directly out from the kitchen is a delightful private space to relax and enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine with friends and family.
There are large lawns and colourful shrubberies.
You will also find a small, covered fishpond, and can also enjoy views of the castle.
There is also a pretty one-room stone cottage with plumbing and space for washing machine and tumble dryer, a kitchenette area for outside entertaining and a WC. It also provides great storage for garden and outdoor items like a BBQ and has a mezzanine level too.
Two gateways open from the garden. One leads onto an open grassland area with a footpath crossing the common to give easy access to the countryside on the outskirts of the village, and in the other direction, easy access to the nearby village square with its mix of pubs, eateries and local shops. And of course, access to Corfe Castle itself.
Location
Corfe Castle nestles in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck with perfect access to wonderful walks to the fantastic Jurassic Coast and along the beautiful downs. The picturesque village of Corfe Castle is renowned for its excellent restaurants, tea shops, old fashioned public houses, superb bakers and general stores. The glorious sandy beach of the small resort of Swanage is within easy driving distance, or you could make the journey via steam train. This is a wonderful walking area and you can walk directly from the house to join a network of footpaths which extend westwards towards Kimmeridge and Lulworth or eastwards to Studland, a pretty resort with miles of sandy beaches and dunes.
