NO CHAIN - A pretty semi-detached cottage in need of modernisation and with potential to extend. In a rare location, down a small country lane and yet only 10/15 minute walk to High Street. Parking for two cars and a garden.
This cottage is not listed and is a traditional Sussex-style tile hung cottage probably dating circa 1800, with exposed beams but good ceiling heights.
The front door is no longer used but could be re-opened. At present, entry is via the kitchen from the side. The kitchen has a range of solid, wooden units with a lot of floor and wall cupboards. A stainless double sink unit, plumbing for a washing machine and wall mounted gas boiler. The kitchen window looks through to a greenhouse attached to the back of the house. The sitting room is a good size with exposed wall and ceiling timbers and an open brick fireplace. Stairs lead up to a surprisingly spacious landing with room for a study area if desired. Airing cupboard housing a hot water cylinder. There are two bedrooms, the larger a double at the front of the cottage and the smaller, large single bedroom to the rear. Between is a shower room which has access to the loft.
Services: Gas fired central heating, mains water and drainage. Tax Band D.
Outside: There is a driveway to the side of the cottage. A wooden pergola with a gate is at the bottom and leads to the rear garden. This is enclosed with close boarded fencing, has a large timber shed and a greenhouse attached to the rear of the cottage.
