A stunning Victorian family home, which has been greatly extended and totally refurbished inside and out, to include a complete garden makeover.
Situated in the heart of Old Isleworth with brilliant access to local shops, schools and transport links.
This wonderful family home has been the subject of a major renovation programme over the last three years, which has taken it from a rather small three bedroom house and added 68% more internal accommodation. A great deal of time, effort and attention to detail has been lavished on the house and it is now ready for a new family to start the next chapter in its already long history.
There are now four bedrooms and two bathrooms over the first and second floors, but of particular note is the transformation to the ground floor. There is an entrance hall with access to a downstairs cloakroom, a through reception / dining room with bay window and feature fireplace and a new full width extension. This contains a beautiful shaker style kitchen in muted colours with a large island unit and also provides a spacious informal sitting area with views to the garden beyond. The entire ground level has a classic herringbone wooden parquet floor, whilst the upper floors have neutral carpeting. Both bathrooms are furnished with white suites and contemporary tiling. There are numerous finishing touches throughout, which can only be appreciated on a viewing.
To the rear of the house is a newly landscaped garden, which has an attractive brick wall to the rear, a combination of raised and gravelled borders to either side, stocked with a range of plants and shrubs and a large central paved area for soaking up the sun and for al-fresco dining. There is also a gate to a locked alleyway leading from Percy Road.
Altogether an exceptional house with no onward chain.
Percy Road is a popular residential no-through road on the borders of St Margarets and Old Isleworth. The property is ideally situated, via a footpath, for access to the local shops on St Margarets Road and also within a five minute walk along Worple Road to the more extensive shopping facilities on South Street, Old Isleworth. This includes a Co-op, a couple of restaurants and pubs and numerous coffee shops. The most historic part of Old Isleworth is located along the riverside at Church Street, which is a pleasant 10 minute walk, where access can be found to Syon House & Park, the London seat of the Duke of Northumberland and also to The London Apprentice, one of the most famous of London's riverside pubs.
Transport links are excellent, with the H37 bus route providing a regular service to St Margarets, Richmond, Isleworth and Hounslow. There are mainline stations in Isleworth and St Margarets, providing a good service to London Waterloo.
The area has a good selection of both state and private schools and these include The Blue School (Ofsted Outstanding), Worple Primary School, Isleworth Town Primary, The Green School for Boys and Gumley House Convent School for Girls.
