* Vendor comments * "When I was offered this house it was like a dream come true. Not only did I have a back garden for me and my growing family, but the house had a beautiful front garden and I could envision this being my forever home. So when the opportunity arose for me to buy this property it was a no-brainer as I could see that this three-bedroom house had enormous potential. I also fell in love with the spacious feel and the abundance of natural light that this home has to offer and the neighbourhood is quiet.
Alas, one by one my children have left home. Subsequently, the home has become too big for me so I am going to downsize.
I have been happy living here and have lived here for 40 years. I am only the second owner of the property as only one person has lived here before me.
The home has been beautifully decorated within the last 4 months and I am proud of the finished product. Downstairs there are Bi-fold patio doors in the dining area/kitchen leading to the garden. It is a fully integrated kitchen and I love that the dining area has a skylight which gives an abundance of natural light.
Upstairs on the first floor, we have a bathroom, and three double bedrooms, two of which have double-glazed sliding doors leading to a balcony- again a rare find! Then the next floor is a loft conversion with double-glazed doors with a mock balcony with your en-suite bathroom where you have the choice of a shower or bath with a whirlpool spa. Both bathrooms were installed in the last 4 months.
One of the other key things we love about this house is the amount of storage in the loft's eaves space which has electricity and a boarded floor, again a great plus in terms of extra storage.
We built an extension to the back which accommodates the dining area. We extended the front of the house to give a larger reception and living room area and a full loft conversion. A bonus is whoever purchases the home also has planning permission for off-street parking to park two cars, plus a parking permit and guest parking permit to accommodate a total of four cars.
My six children were all raised here, plus four of my fourteen grandchildren.
There are several schools close to the home. All my six children attended Ronald Ross Primary School, literally across the road, which received an outstanding from OFSTED and is a wonderful supportive school. There is also Southmead Primary School, which is a 10-minute walk. Secondary schools Saint Cecilia's Church of England, Our Lady Queen of Heaven RC & Ark Putney Academy are also within walking distance.
There is a local community centre, which is a 2 a minute walk across the green.
I am going to miss my office, which allowed me to work from home and keep my work separate from my family life. I am going to miss my bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that has been my little haven and the family barbeques in the summer. I will miss all my local shops including, Tesco, M&S & Co-op in particular ‘Best One’ where I am known as Mamma. The shop houses everything you need, and if they don’t have it they will get it in store for you. Asda is also only 5 minutes by car.
The home is central to Southfields, Wandsworth, Clapham Junction Wimbledon, Roehampton, Kingston, Putney, Fulham and New Malden with good bus routes and train stations such as South Wimbledon and Wimbledon, which also have tram service that will take you to Croydon".
