The pretty gardens include a seating terrace with the most wonderful outlook across the valley to the Devon side. Forming part of a terrace of cottages in a pedestrian part of the village, just a couple of hundred yards from the village shops and health centre. Village amenities include railway station, garage/shop, playpark, pubs and access to the river front. There is a regular bus service connecting with the nearby centres of Tavistock and Callington.

Directions: From Tavistock, follow the A390 for Callington and Liskeard. Crossing into Cornwall at New Bridge, follow the road into Gunnislake village centre. Turn right at the traffic lights and park in the public carpark. Follow Commercial Street to the far end where a footpath leads to the back of the cottages. Take the footpath by the first cottage and follow this around the front where you will find Devon View Cottage (number 8).
