Why buy this home...
The heart of this home is its expansive ground floor, designed for both comfort and functionality. The welcoming hallway provides access to the living room, kitchen/diner, and family room, which leads to the conservatory. The generously sized living room, featuring a cosy log burner fireplace, allows for various furniture arrangements and comfortably accommodates a three-seater sofa, two armchairs, and a coffee table. Double doors connect the living room to the conservatory and family room, though these spaces can also be accessed via the hallway, offering the option to keep the living room as a private retreat.
The front-facing kitchen flows naturally into the dining area, offering a perfect balance between open-plan living and defined spaces. With ample storage, plenty of countertop space, and a hidden coffee station on the peninsula island, the kitchen is perfect for those who love to cook and entertain. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher and fridge, with space for a freestanding Rangemaster oven and hob. The room’s dual-aspect windows ensure a bright and airy atmosphere. Off the kitchen, the owners have added a practical utility room, offering extra storage and space for a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and convenient access to the front of the house. This space is ideal for unloading groceries or cleaning up after outdoor activities, especially with pets. The dining room comfortably seats up to eight people and can easily extend into the family room for larger gatherings. The family room itself features built-in seating with storage, making it perfect for keeping children’s toys organised. It can also serve as an extension of the living room or as a dedicated play area.
The conservatory, accessible from both the living and family rooms, spans the full width of the house. Currently used as a snug and games room, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the garden. The size of this room is further emphasized by the addition of a pool table, making it a versatile and inviting space. Double doors open directly onto the garden. The well-established garden is arranged over three levels, featuring a lovely apple tree, decked and patio areas for outdoor furniture, and a lawn. Side access to the front of the house adds to the garden’s practicality.
Upstairs, four well-proportioned bedrooms provide ample space for relaxation. The master bedroom, located at the back of the house, includes a spacious en-suite with a double walk-in shower, and offers plenty of room for a king-size bed, bedside tables, and a dressing area with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and a chest of drawers. Bedrooms two and three are also doubles, with bedroom two currently serving as a craft room but spacious enough to accommodate a king-size bed. Bedroom three also has free standing wardrobes and would make a perfect guest bedroom. Bedroom four is a large single, fitted with shelves for storage, making it an ideal home office. The three bedrooms share a family bathroom, which is partially tiled and includes a shower over the bath and a vanity unit.
Finally, the detached garage is positioned in front of the house and is linked to the neighbour’s garage. There is parking for three cars on the drive and additional on-street parking available at the front.
