Exceptionally rare opportunity set in 6.13 acres with no chain, located on a tranquil no through county lane and enjoying stunning views, a beautiful cottage with outstanding potential to enhance.
Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman
So often houses with over six acres of land in Cheshire are beyond the affordability of the majority of buyers and have been developed in such a way that leaves no room for future customisation. This incredibly rare buying opportunity delivers the opposite, with a very fair and competitive price and an unspoilt cottage with extensive potential to modernise, enhance, adapt or even knock down and replace, all subject to necessary planning permissions being granted.
This truly special detached cottage has been in the same family for many many years and is rich in history. It is set in grounds of 6.13 acre and enjoys a truly delightful location on a tranquil country lane that is tucked away and private. An example of its rarity value is that there are only two houses in the entire postcode! With views of the Bickerton Hills and Brown Knowl the location feels totally rural yet the position lies within comfortable travelling distance of Malpas, Tattenhall, Bunbury, Tarporley and Chester.
The house as it stands extends to 1644 square feet and is in need of complete modernisation. The land would lend itself ideally to those with an equestrian interest or those seeking to graze livestock or have ponies, alpackers or donkeys.
The house faces south to the rear.
The other key element to note here is the lifestyle that the house lends itself to. If you enjoy wildlife and nature, walking or running or observing open skylines and sunsets then this location is going to be difficult to better.
Priced competitively and being a one of a kind opportunity, a viewing appointment is strongly recommended.
