Renowned for Sudeley Castle, the town was at one time the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Mercia and many old buildings remain, in particular the superb 15th-century church of St. Peter’s. There is a wide range of local amenities that cater for everyday needs including small supermarkets, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants.
