In the vendors own words -
We asked them about their lovely family home and they were kind enough to provide us with a real insight into living there.
Driving round the area we were impressed by the wide roads and ample front gardens which gives the feeling of spaciousness. We liked the look of the house with the large windows and low sills. The southeast facing garden and quiet area ticked more boxes too.
The area turned out to be just as quiet as we had hoped and we’ve loved living here. The ‘woodland’ style garden provides habitat for many different types of birds to nest. Bats fly around at dusk and owls can often be heard hooting amongst the trees to the back. There is easy access to country walks directly from the house over the fields or along a nearby stream, or a short drive to various country spots. The house has worked well for us with the additional space provided by the extension enabling us to have a second living area, used variously as a playroom, teenagers’ den or a bed space for an extra guest. The garden, which is fully fenced, has been a great space for the dogs, and is bathed in sun throughout the day. The patio, which is not overlooked, and the lounge catch the sun early in the morning and the front room gets the afternoon and evening rays. The garden has been a great space for entertaining - children’s parties with a bouncy castle or a bbq. Fleming Way is a lovely friendly safe place to live - most of the neighbours have been here for years, the tendency being to stay rather than to move on.
Location - Tonbridge town offers an excellent range of retail and leisure activities with many High Street stores and a full complement of banks and building societies, together with a selection of coffee shops, restaurants and local inns. The mainline station provides fast commuter links into London (Cannon Street/London Bridge/Charing Cross in approximately 40 minutes) with road links to the M20 & M25 motorways via the nearby A26 and A21.
Education - Tonbridge offers first-rate primary and secondary schools (including Grammars and Public Schools) many of which consistently do well in the league tables.
